A chance for over 16’s to come and help out in the Park with conservation and gardening tasks.
Friendly and informal sessions where anyone can come along, whatever your experience. Learn new skills or share your own experiences. A CEED project officer will provide all training and tools as needed. There is a variety of tasks but will often focus upon the Sensory Garden and the conservation areas, looking at ways to enhance the park for both people and wildlife. Gentle exercise, fresh air and a chance to chat. We even provide brews and biscuits.
Sessions run twice monthly, 10am to 3pm. Join us for the day, or for whatever time you have. Go to our events listings for more information.
This is part of the Happy People Happy Park Project – Funded by Awards for All, this project is running in Roker Park until November 2015. The project focuses on providing opportunities for people to get involved in their park. There are three strands to the project to provide activities for all ages – Park People, CEEDlings and Mini CEEDlings.
